Focus on logistics projects for fast moving goods

Port of Antwerp-Bruges is expanding the Maritime Logistics Zone in phases, aiming to generate additional maritime cargo for the terminals in the outer port and provide space for businesses in a forward-looking environment. The current tender for the development of an 8.5-hectare site focuses on logistics projects that align with deep-sea and short-sea activities.

Specifically, the Maritime Logistics Zone offers opportunities for companies active in:

  • Cold chain: Its strategic location reduces lead times, enabling cold chain goods to be transported efficiently and reliably.
  • Consumer goods: The proximity to deep-sea and short-sea platforms facilitates both intercontinental supply chains and regional distribution.
  • High and heavy: The presence of specialised terminal facilities for oversized and heavy cargo ensures smooth handling and transportation.
