Then visit our stand at Fruit Attraction between 6-8 October. With the arrival of new CEO Rob Smeets, the Cold Chain segment remains an important pillar of Port of Antwerp-Bruges’ future strategy. In 2025, the port handled a record **1.17 million TEU of reefer containers**, and today, nearly one in ten containers is a reefer. This positive trend is translating into specific investments across the port platform. - **Seafrigo** is expanding its capacity for chilled and frozen products with new specialised storage facilities. - **DP World** is investing in a new temperature-controlled logistics centre of more than 55,000 m², representing an investment of at least €48 million with space for both food and pharmaceutical products. - **Lineage** is strengthening its Antwerp cold chain network and expanded its presence through the acquisition of Luik Natie.
